We learned last night that there was a shooting incident Sunday evening in Lörrach, the town in southwestern Germany where we go to church. In fact, the incident happened in the same block where our church is located, and two members of our church congregation were shot, including our pastor: Jürgen (pronounced Yer-gen). Jürgen was shot in the back, a couple inches from his spine. He is expected to be in the hospital a few days, but will be ok. The other man, Ernst, was hit by a bullet in the forehead, but it was apparently only a flesh wound, and so not as serious. A couple other members of the congregation were there and are very shaken up by the whole thing (as you can imagine). We would ask that you pray for the families involved and for our congregation. Pray that Christ and His glory would be revealed in this tragic situation. Here are links to the story:
